character illustration
a lined, colored piece with slight rendering. blank or simple background. can include up to 5 characters maximum.
bust 30USD *
half-body 40USD *
full-body 70USD *these are base prices. additional fees may be applied depending on complexity. each additional character adds 80% of the base price.
painting
a more elaborate piece with atmospheric coloring. allows for more complex background environments(if requested.) may take a while because of the sheer amount of work.
100USD and up. due to the process of a work like this, i would rather manually negotiate the price and availability based on your request and character.

the things i am absolutely not doing are nsfw/suggestive subjects and art with (overt or subtle) bigotry/hate speech.otherwise, there may be subjects i am not confident in, such as some animal species or elderly people, but i can draw them with reference. if your request contains any of those, i will be sure to let you know immediately.to answer a bunch of questions off the go, what i CAN draw includes, but is not limited to: humans, animals, creatures, furries/anthro, any other non-human characters, body horror, mild gore/violence, plants/flowers, characters from a picrew/game, fanart, your AUs, etc.

these are subject to change as i gain experience.By commissioning me you agree that you have read, understood and accepted all the terms listed below.
Generalyou are not allowed to make product with, exchange, resell, or make any profit from my work in any shape or form. commissioned pieces are for personal use only(such as pfp, banner, video thumbnails etc.) unless you pay for that right and receive express written permission from me.When using my work, please credit me as @melenthropy.Fanart commissions consisting of characters from any game/series/etc may be used by me to produce and sell physical prints/charms/standees and other merchandise in the future as I see fit. I will notify you if so.i reserve the right to post the finished commission online or put it in my portfolio with a protective watermark unless requested otherwise.I retain all copyrights to the commissioned artwork.additional charges may be applied depending on your request and the character design/s provided. everything listed in the pricing is only base prices.PaymentPayment will be done through paypal in US dollars.Don't send me any payment before I have agreed to take the commission and requested you to send me the payment.Payment must be paid in full before i start the commission. i will only begin work when the full payment has been received.in special circumstances, we can negotiate a payment plan, but i have the right to decline.Refund/cancellationonce i have received payment and started working on the commission, you do not have the right to cancel and/or demand a refund.*However, if payment has not been made yet, you or i are both allowed to back out of the commission request for any reason.* - In the rare event where i myself feel that i cannot complete the commission at all, be it because of health or other circumstances, i will give a partial refund depending on how much progress has been done. (I will keep 25% of the total cost minimum).Working processi do not work under a strict deadline. i might provide you an estimated delivery date, but if you want to set a deadline, a rush fee of 25% will have to be applied.UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE, you are allowed to ask me to revisit the piece for structural changes up to 3 times. you may ask for multiple changes each round. after you have used up your 3 rounds or i have left drafting stage, i will not make any more changes unless its a mistake/misunderstanding on my part (wrong color, forgot a design detail, etc.)UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE, you are allowed to request progress checks whenever you want, but i will try my best to send progress on my own regardless.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTSI, Mel (aka Melenthropy):
- Retain all copyrights of the commissioned artwork
- Do not claim ownership of any Intellectual Property (IP) in the commissioned artwork
- Reserve the right to include the commissioned artwork in my portfolio or post it online.The client (you):
- Retains the rights to any of their IP included
- May upload commissioned artwork to their social media if they choose to
- Is not allowed to alter the original artwork without my consent, the exception being cropping/resizing.
- Is not allowed to profit off of the commissioned artwork (unless commercial fee has been paid and express written approval has been received)
